A customer brought in an old M77 tang safety .270 today snapped through the wrist and he wants a new stock. I can source a NOS LA mag stock but not the stnd LA. What differences are there between the two? I suspect perhaps slightly different barrel inletting.

Actions are the same, some mags have slightly heavier barrels. I have one here somewhere in the stock of stocks. I'll dig it out.

I have both, take offs, it appears the difference is the size of the magzine box, and perhaps some wood difference at the recoil lug, just eyeball measurements..Id prefer to find an original drop in, shouldn't cost much..
