I ordered a L-W prechambered-9.3 x 62

in my VZ24 will the existing mag well dimensions work with this round in the various bullet weights?

and two I am going to have a Lyman 57SME-the only extra rear peep I have on hand installed and want to do away with the "swing up" safety if I can without any smith required alterations. Is there another Mauser safety that does not require any mods that can easily fit along with a new Timney trigger?

I just don't know.

thanks.

Get the timney trigger with the side safety, then replace the bolt shroud with a FN style.

griz

I bought 2 2-position safety's off of ebay. The one I installed fit fine with the original trigger. You could get lucky.

thanks richj,

awaiting sporterexpress to send barrel-hopefully by the Aug 1, get a fella gunsmith friend to headspace the barrel and put on the NECG universal front and d&t receiver for the peep. Get that safety changed out, think my wife would work a safety that would be easier on her. bought a Fajen synthetic for this and do a simple paint job and presto, a good shooter that is rough enough and nothing to special for her to count on that will do the job just fine.

she has got "sand" for sure, have to take that .30-30AI away her, she stood down a pretty good size grizz boar sometime back with that and said it felt like a "bb" gun. She doesn't carry her .30-06 often so hopefully this rifle will convince her that it will do "better".

I'll take a looksee on ebay.

Jim Kobe has them and all you do is screw them on.

send him an email and he'll send you one....I think it's somewhere about $90-$100....the ones I got from him are excellent......and you don't have top send him your bolt or actiuon.
