I have a Remington Sendero SF II in .300 Win Mag that I have "semi-customized" myself. It is one of the newer model Senderos that has the HS Precision stock with aluminum chassis. I love the stock...however I do have one complaint. The distance from the trigger to the grip seems too short to me. It causes me to adjust my grip in a way that I really don't care for. I have replaced the factory trigger with a Jewell trigger, but the issue is still there. Can anyone here recommend a solution? I feel like something similar to a trigger shoe is needed to extend the front surface of the trigger forward, so that it hits my finger properly (near the tip instead of mid-knuckle). Any suggestions? I don't have exceptionally large hands at all....so I'm sure others have this same issue. _______________________________________________________ Hunt Report - South Africa 2022 Wade Abadie - Wild Shot Photography Website | Facebook | Instagram

Apart from locating an aftermarket trigger that has the blade further forward in the bow, and I imagine most would just duplicate the factory trigger in this regard, having the trigger blade cut and extended forward would be a simple enough operation for a gunsmith. Many higher end shotguns used for competition have adjustable trigger blades able to be slid back or forward on a rail then locked in place to suit positioning of the finger.

No replacement trigger will move the shoe forward, so adding one will help a tiny bit. Or weld a new one on. Or, exercise your finger to train it to bend in three places; that is what I do. Assuming altering the grip is out for you.

used to be a product out there "ace trigger shoe" that widened the trigger out and extended it a bit but i don't know if it is still available

Has anyone here tried one of these? http://www.bellprecisionrifles...oducts/trigger-shoes _______________________________________________________ Hunt Report - South Africa 2022 Wade Abadie - Wild Shot Photography Website | Facebook | Instagram

No but those are just like the Ace ones from the 60s that everyone put on revolvers. Won't move your reach length much though.

Several high end triggers (read $$$) have adjustable trigger shoes. For a 700 try: CG extreme Tubb T7 Bix and Andy Timney Calvin Elite

Open the grip up with glass and brace is the best option if your skilled or know someone who is..cut the trigger off and tig it back to follow the contour of the rear of the trigger..Recoil hitting the middle finger is pure torture..I like wood stocks for that reason, plus a cornucopia of other reasons. It would be far easier to modify the stock to allow your hand to move back than to try to move the trigger forward. One shot , one kill
