Have a mexican mauser with standard canjar trigger not a set, looked up instructions on adjustments and on reading them says not to set pull below 3 lbs if used for rapid fire. when working bolt fast as in a follow up shot it doesn't cock. the instructions say to bevel cocking piece at upper side so bolt will contact receiver before cocking piece hits sear. ok sounds good but I'm afraid of messing with the cocking piece as its a 36 mex style. Normally I would just adjust the sear for more engagement but instructions advise against it. Hope someone can give me some advice . Thanks in advance Forgot weight of pull doesn't matter if bolt is cycled fast doesn't cock moved normal as target shooting works every time.

Triggers need to be adjusted by a good gunsmith IMO..unless its a drop in and your satisfied with the screw adjustments..You should be happy with a 3lb. trigger unless your spastic, and bounce it off the recoil pad to check the trigger to be sure it didn't release,,,Some triggers will work at 2.5 and Im talking hunting rifles, most bench shooter don't pull the trigger exactly in that they drop the bolt and hold the trigger at the same time..Ive seen some of saeeds buddies try to shoot game that way, it didn't work, so they had to make an adjustment and pull the trigger..It was a learning experience for me..but I failed bench 101 on that. You have to snap your fingers in the process and I have no rythem..

3lb is ok by me but can't handle not being able to cycle bolt rapidly as in follow up shot. bothers me that they specifically address this problem in their instructions to grind on the cocking piece.
