Also, take note that the Howa are not only metric, they are
a 55 degree "V" pattern thread. I fainally bought one and took it apart Just to find out for certain. By the way, they really screw them in tight!

Sorry, they are not the same.

The Howa is Metric & Mauser common 1-12

the howa is japanese, btw, same a teh weatherby... and I think it's a smaller shank than the mauser/markx
