helping a friend. He has a Savage edge-new almost. When you turn the bolt handle down to the fire position and take your hand off the bolt handle, the bolt handle slowly moves back up about a third way up. We've re-moved barrelled action from stock and removed bottom metal as well. Have re-moved bolt sleeve from bolt-inside of bolt looks very clean. Can feel no burrs. I've no experience with these actions? suggestions?

Yep, if you fark with it the warranty is voided. Contact Savage and get a pre-paid shipping label and send it back for warranty repair. Our shop has no issues with their service.
