Does Hartmann & Weiss use the Martin Hagn action for their falling block single shot rifles or do they make their own action? Whatever they are, I'd sure like to have one.

Martin Hagn sold the rights to Hartmann and Weiss but he is a dealer for them. He is located in Cranbrook BC. The normal size is about $2500 US, the magnum a bit more.

Chic: Interesting. I spoke to Martin a couple of weeks ago and mentioned to him that Rigby is referring to their single shot as a Hagn style action. I was curious to know if this was with his agreement or not. He referred to an Oregon (I think) company that was making an action like his but did not hint at any formal agreement. On the other hand he didn't say there wasn't either. Regardless, it's a fine action and falls into my definition of best quality. One day I will achieve a Hagn made rifle. I could buy an action or barreled action and complete it myself but my preference would be for a completed rifle out of Martin's basement. besto

Stocker, I spoke to Rolf Martini at the gun show in Reno, I believe last year about it. Last year they were buying a number of them and were offering some pretty good deals. Unfortunately still above my budget for an action. They had several of them at this years show, with their wonderful workmanship on them.
