TO all,

I am looking for a few upgrades for my lathe and was having trouble finding what I needed.

Does anyone know how makes a 6 jaw high precision chuck that will fit a D1-8 cam lock spindle?

Any information on suppliers would be greatly appreciated.

Good Shooting!!!

50, have you tried MSC? www.mscdirect.com You may have to buy a plain back chuck and an adapter to fit your D1-8.

I got a 6 jaw Buck Chuck from rec.crafts.metalworking.
I have got lots of tooling from Ebay.
I have been to lots of machine shop going out of biz auctions.

And then there is the retail new price at MSC, J&L, Enco, etc.

At the risk of commercialism, you might check out my website at www.shoptools.com You would probably want to contact our Denver store as they are closest to you. We are a distributor of machine shop supplies and while MSC is a competitor, they tend to offer the low price/import stuff while we try to provide more service/higher quality. Kind of like Home Depot vs Lowes
Good Luck!
