Hi, just about to start restoring a Win super grade stock and was wondering what would the best way to tackle the ebony/plastic tip which is lightly scratched and some of the finish is chipped, can I just use wet&dry or will it cause more scratching. thanks for any info..cheers

Anytime I restore a stock with a plastic forend tip I replace the tip with ebony, and the plastic grip cap with steel, and the old worn out whiteline pad with a solid Old English or Decelerator.

The plastic tips sand pretty much like ebony. I just wet sand them along with the rest of the stock.
