I've just spoken to the folks at Warne and learned that they are producing their "Maxima" rings for the cz550. Brownells had told me they weren't available.

Does anyone have experience with these in the quick disconnect?

Do you know the correct height for the Leupold 1.5X5 and 2X7 scopes?

Finally, Does the 1.5X5 VIII Leupold have a meaningful advantage over the 1X4 VII?

My last two 550's came with Warne rings. Phil at the Gun Shop in Atlanta, gave my choice-CZ or Warne. The Warne rings were perfect height for a 3-9 Leupold with 40mm obj. Cobalt

I have a CZ 550 Magnum with a Leupold 1-4x20 installed in Warne medium height QR rings. They work well and the height fits me perfectly with the original straight stock.

I use Warne fixed rings for my converted Brno 602 and they work fine with leupold 2.5x compact I have mounted on it, which is neally the same size as your 1-4x20. In my opinion you have chosen the right scope as I reckon the Vari X 111 line is subject to the law of diminishing returns.

Any more thoughts on scope selection? Right now I'm deciding between the Leupold VII 1-4X or the VII 2-7X. Sounds like Warne maima QD's are a good choice for the mounts.

I've got a Vari-X II 1x4 in Warne Maxima QDs on my .375 H&H Abolt. Love the rings and the scope. Both do their respective jobs extremely well, never any trouble and they hold zero.
