I bought a custom 98 mauser off a friend for 125 bucks, He couldn't get it to shoot with factory ammo since I handload I figured I could get it to shoot I tried and tried I used every bullet and powder I could think of IMR 4831 H4831 IMR 4350 IMR 4064 nothing I took a target where my dad works and one of the guys said what the hell you shooting a shotgun that is when I knew had a dud. I sent it to a Gunsmith and had 25-284 made with a target crown I picked up a couple of boxes hornady 100gr Boattails. Now Hornady will say the never made this bullet but i Had two boxes anyhow with IMR 4350 this rifle was a tack driver. I felt like a target shooter. well I ran out of these bullets I couldn't find anything to shoot in it. I finally had it rebarreled with a Montana rifleman barrel in a 25-284 and it will shoot anything. So i figured it was the barrel I have know Idea what make it was. I also had a 284 made using a Sako 7 mag barrel the only thing I can get to shoot in it 154gr Hornady flat base bullets anything lighter forget about it and it will shoot 160 just fine all day long. Forget about Boattails just waisting money and 139 and 140. I also bought a brand new 243 in a MKII 77 it wouldn't shoot worth a damn I traded it for something else but I was glad to get rid of it. I traded for a nice custom 300 savage I tried everything to the only thing it seemed to like was 200gr round nose bullets traded it back to my friend for something else. I traded for a nice 25-06 from a friend he talked about how great it shot I took it out and that peice of shit wouldn't shoot I traded it to my friend for a nice 98 in a 7x57 he knew the deal and didn't seem to mind the 25-06 probably cause he traded it 2 weeks later .

My new out of the box CZ 527 in .222 rem shoots all over the place with Fed. and Rem. factory ammos even with the trigger set, I don't even bother measuring groups. It's not me because I have a sporter 22-250 M77 mkII that shoots like a champ.

It's pretty close between an SKS and a Mini-14, but since I have actually gotten some 2" groups with an SKS (by accident I'm sure), I'll have to say a Mini-14 is the worst.
