| If I recall correctly the rear guard screw is not at 90 degrees to the action center line. If the rear hole is at an angle it should be for a Springfield. |

| Todd As everyone has stated the guard screw hole spacing is 7.75" measured at the action. Stocker has brought up the key point that the rear guard screw is angled forward and as a result the screw centers at the triggerguard is about 1/16" less. This is the give away on a springfield stock as well as the opening for the magazine cuttoff. Hope this helps. |
