two on ebay two weeks ago, .610 or .630 IIRC.

I bid&got a Williams shorty ramp myself.

Can the ramps radius be dealt with (adapted) if it is not in the ballpark of the barrel radius?

I will look as I believe I have an old redfield banded sight. It needs some polishing, but it is a very nice banded sight. I have a 1903 .30-06 project in the shop was thinking I was going to use it on that, but I just cannot decide.

Let me know if your interested, I will dig it out and measure it.

Please take a look at it if you would. Like I said I need a larger version .705" to .715".
Springfield should be about .605", I have one of those and a .640" that are new in the box.
Thought about splitting the larger one at the bottom to accomodate the .705" that I need but unsure what to do with the split after that>?

i had a rifle here one time that i believe the builder split the banded sight to make it fit the barrel. the ends at the split were radiused in a nice contour and thinned before the sight was soldered on and it looked nice. this might help you if you can live without the band completely encircling the barrel.

Snellstrom, I will look this week, next I am in the shop.

The only thing I can think of with the split band is to put a nice radius on all four corners, polish out the split before you fit it. Would look nice and 95% of people would never know it was split.

Thanks Fal Grunt let me know if you find something.
I'm on the fence about splitting it. Another idea I had was to use an NECG banded ramp and re shape it to be more like the Lyman, however I really like the old Lymans and Redfields.
