Please, let us keep this as fact-based as possible and make respectful comments as though they were here with us. As far as I know, they are both well-respected and have excellent reputations for producing quality.

Comments on the questions below might be helpful to me:

1. Do you know of anyone who has their rifles?
2. Have you seen or handled their rifles at the SCI or other Convention?
3. Have you ever had them do gunsmithing work for you personally?
4. Have you ever spoken to them before, if so, what did you think?

To those that I have spoken to or P.M.'d, you need not reply here unless you want to Smiler If any of you prefer, please P.M. me with your comments. They will be treated as confidential.

Thank you.

I have seen Gene S. work and it sure was nice..

Other than that I know nothing about their business practices or character...

I have spoken to and handled guns made by Gene at the SCI show. He is a very fine craftsman, and an easy person to strike up a conversation.

Gene Simillion, is an up front, best quaility riflesmith and hunter. I have found his costs to be reasonable, and he has always delivered my work on time. I think enough of him that I dont build a project without bouncing it off him and that has helped me a time or two. I came to know Gene through another ok kind of guy and smith, named Echols.

I've had Mark go through two of my rifles. His work is outstanding. I plan him building a matched set 300 HH/375 HH on my two transitionals one of these days.
