How does one go about removing a Parkerized finish from a barreled action?

Bead or sand blast.

Just wondering why you'd want/need to remove the parkerizing? Since parkerizing is an etching process you'd probably need to sandblast it off. I'd just degrease it and apply DuraCoat finish over it. Just my thoughts. Good luck. Paul.
