Rossi M-92 cal .45 L. Colt, is it possible to rechambered to .454 Casull without major inconveniences? The twist of your barrell is the same? The carbine supports the highest pressure? The ammunition elevator must be modified? The carbine in .454 Casull allows firing the .45 L. Colt? I'm sorry for my bud English. Thanks in advance, Hector

Your English is better than most guys on AR. Personally, I wouldn't bother; I would just load the 45 LC hot. But I have not studied it to know if it can be rechambered.

Hi Hector, I asked just that question on another forum a few months ago and got quite a few replies http://castboolits.gunloads.co...ossi-92-rechambering Not quite sure what the proper conclusion is, to be honest...

I would not have it rechambered to 454 Casull, I have read in several articles (in magazines) that the steel was different and heat treated to make it harder that regular M92 45 Colt receivers. I wondered that same thing at one time but heeded the warnings and just bought an M92 in 454 Casull. You would have to contend with feeding problems for sure as the cartridges are longer. I think you would be safer to not rechamber it. Steve....... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran
