I am trying to find a complete rear sight for a Mauser project I am doing. I need the complete sight, base, and sleeve. I need it to be like the ones in the photos below. They are the type that have the handguard retainer ring on the front of the base. I also need it to be in really good condition. I am also in need of a set of hinged 1909 Argentine bottom metal. I have tried Ebay and Numrich and have not had any luck. Numrich may have the right one but I am not sure exactly which sight it is listed as. If you have anything available or know where I can find them please let me know. I can be reached via PM here ir through email at the address below. wberger70@hotmail.com William Berger True courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway. - John Wayne The courageous may not live forever, but the timid do not live at all.

hey bill. i don't have a complete sight but i do have "the little screw" that's missing from rgg_7's sight. i also have a sight ladder marked in farsi if that's of any use. also i have these, a pair of detachable sling swivels and a front sight protector. your welcome to it all if you want it. bruce blaming guns for crime is like blaming silverware for rosie o'donnell being fat

Nearly identical except for the locking screws and the pad on the floorplate release. However, even more scarce than 1909 bottom metal.

I know there were less made but its not all that commonly known about the interchangeability. I got 2 from a guy in Australia a couple of years ago on the cheap. It seemed that he had a pile of these and I cant remember the name or contact info. ......civilize 'em with a Krag

William Bill that sight in your photo is not the correct sight for your Argie project. It is a K98K rear sight NOT a 1909 Argie rear sight. I will look & see If I have an Argie rear sight & let you know. Doug Humbarger NRA Life member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club 72'73. Yankee Station Try to look unimportant. My project is a Mauser Standard Modell not a 1909. The rifle in the photo is an original Standard Modell and it is the correct sight for the rifle. The hinged bottom is just to dress it up a bit.
