I have a pusher M70,,about 10 yr.s old or less,,.300 Win.Mag.,,,want to try something diff.,,is it stout enough for a .340 weatherby?I know the box is long enough,,knock out the spacer,,and change/modif.the bolt stop,,,maybe relieve the rear of the eject.port some,,,,but will the reciever take the horsepower???

Pressure is one factor but the body diameter of the cartridges considered is significant given the fixed diameter of the barrel shank. In this case, the two cartridges have the same belt and body diameters. Keep the operating pressure in the same range and you should have no issues ...
