I have a remington model seven that I have owned for many years. Well I have hunted this rifle hard and think it is time to clean it up a bit. I am looking for advise on a replacement trigger. I do not want to try and adjust the original. I have looked at several brands. The only one I have found that advertises as being drop in without modification is by Rifle Basix. I am wondering if this is true. I have bought many other "no gunsmithing required" products that tried my patience to say the least. I am also looking for replacement bottom metal. The original painted aluminum looks like hell. Does anyone make a matte finish steel replacement? Thanks for any and all advice.

I put a Basix on my Model 7, very pleased with it.

Triggersmith will completely blue-print your factory trigger and set the adjustment for you for $35.00...and guarantee the work for life.
