Yes, definitely, that is a P-17 action re-done by BSA in the late '50s or early '60s and needs relatively little work to become a good .375 H&H...OR, Weatherby OR RUM.

Any decent smith can build you a FINE working rifle on that action and you can obtain specific replacement parts to improve the factory ejector and trigger ass'y. It is among the strongest bolt actions ever made and Holland and Holland made many .375s on them in the post-war era when magnum Mausers became extinct.

as Dewey says, great model. That appears to be a model D, made in '06 and .303. The model E's are the same caliber's, the forend on the model E has a schnabel.

Churchill made similar conversions but their stocks are more Weatherby like. I.E. square forend, Monte carlo cheekpiece , skip a line checkering ...
