I noticed on he weekend that Pachmayr (part of Lyman) has really reduced the offering of recoil pads. Some time ago the big Triple Magum pad was discontinued. I now see there are no red vented pads anymore and quite a number are no longer available in brown, although some of the pictures on the site may still be brown. An example is the D750B "basket weave" face Decelerator. Whilst there are other good products out there, some of the old "White Line" vented red pads were just the thing to keep some of my 70's and 80's rifles authentic looking.

No loss if they discontinue vented pads or white line anything. I hated them in the 60s and the looks have not improved. I had a guy last week who asked me to put his trashy looking white spacer under a new recoil pad. I just said, No.

It seems black and brown vented pads and white line spacers are still available. Yep, like two tone paintwork, or white wall tyres (tires), sometimes it is an original and authentic look, even if it's not pretty.

I agree with dpcd, they suck, and that damn chunk of metal that slips up on ya now and then can ruin your day!! I likw NECG solid red pads that are hard as a brick, and they cover best with pigskin..vely vely English..
