I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Bald Eagle Barrel Vise from Grizzly Industrial? I was thinking about ordering one and wanted to get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Sure they work fine; but they are slow to use; if you work on many barrels it gets tiresome having to screw and unscrew those nuts. I threw mine away and for the past 15 years only use a hydraulic press. And wood blocks with rosin. I can, and often do, remove barrels that other "gunsmiths" bring to me.

I use something similar from time to time, but not to remove or install barrels on receivers. I use it to hold barrels in the vertical position when doing something to the muzzle.

It's hard to get those to clamp hard enough, even with newspaper or rosin, to actually break a barrel loose.
