How difficult is it to convert a left-hand Weatherby Mark V action which was originally chambered for 300 Wby to the 460 Wby family of cartridges ?

Geez, man! First, Ruger, and now Weatherby? Aieee!

Anyway, at a minimum, the bolt face has to be opened up, as well as the ejection port. New follower, perhaps the box as well. Add the $150 floorplate that supposedly increases mag capacity, plus some work to ensure proper feeding from the magazine.

P.S. Just build a push-feed .416 Remington on it instead. Less work, less recoil.

GeorgeS,

Already have the 416 family -- 416 Taylor, 416 Remington, 416 Rigby, and 416 Weatherby.

Really looking to build a 550 Magnum.

Besides, we must promote the Gunsmith Full-Employment Act.

Understand that some are not doing their part.
