The recoil pad seems to be glued on. How is the best removal method?

Hacksaw. You will use your good wood saw once and discover that pads can have steel pins hidden in them to align the pad.

When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. Lets see today's kids say that about their IPods, IPads and XBoxes in 45 years!

The one I had was screwed on, just like any other stock. The heavy urethane wood finish was apparently applied after the pad was installed, making it seem like it was glued on.

I used a razor blade to carefully remove it.
