Does anyone know where I can ge an extractor for a Husqvarna 1640 in 6.5x55? I think that's tha model number of the rifle. Maybe 1600. Anyway it's the small ring version similar to the Mauser but different enough to require a different extractor -- that is unless it's a '96 extractor. I am familiar with the 98 Mauser and that's about the extent of my knowledge, which ain't much to go by. Thanks, KB ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

You probably need to ask this at the Swedish Gun Boards: Swedish Civilian Firearms "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Thanks for the link Tigg. I registered on the forum and posted, but so far got only speculation. Anyone on this forum have any suggestions on finding an extractor for the 1640? If you dont find one,you can take one from a 96, but then you have to grind it off a little since its too thick in the front. This has to be seen as an emergency solution, as you weaken the extractor with this operation. But as a spare or so, it will do the trick.
