If any of you have built a 338wsm could you pass along any of the results of your project. Velocity, trajectory, loads, etc.

How readily available are the reamers and dies for this wildcat?

This topic just came up and someone had one a couple of years ago. They got their tail caught in a wringer on it. The story gave me a headache.

I would wait for it to become standard. It may by the time your action is ready.

I have a short WSM Montana on order also. I am considering the .338 WSM however the .300 WSM makes more sense for me as 99% of my shooting will be at the range or maybe a deer or coyote.

The .338 bullets cost so much more and in .308 there are some sleek light bullets also.

Either way it should make a nice rifle. What length and contour barrel are you considering?

I would plan on using a #4 contour for the bbl.
