Deciding not to buy an after market trigger can someone tell me what actually has to be done to the trigger to get a better trigger pull.

It would be a Ruger M77 MKII Bolt action an ultralight stainless model in 30/06

just change the spring. the ruger works off one spring, pop out the pin and put in a much lighter one. no problem to bring it down to 2-3#'s depending on the spring. Then while you have it out- home the mating surfaces a little just to smooth them out - whole process only take 15 minutes
