Gentlemen, I have a Marlin 39A Golden Mountie that was evidently dropped from my wall rack onto the concrete floor. It would have made for a bad accident, however, the worse part is the offending party said nothing about doing it... At any rate the magazine tube and front magazine tube hanger are damaged and need of replacement. The crown was also heavily "dinged" in the process. Would anyone have a suggestion for a gunsmith who does this type of work? I really love the little rifle and want it to be repaired properly. May also take the opportunity to have the barreled action reblued and a gloove lever loop made if that's possible. I greatly appreciate your time... Regards, Matt Garrett Chesapeake, Virginia

Contact Doug Turnbull Restoration, they can make it like new. They can even upgrade it for you if you wish. They have a website.

Going to Doug Turnbull may be some overkill. The repair work you are talking about is very basic gunsmithing skills. Let your fingers do the walking and find a gunsmith that is local. Even the beginner gunsmith can do this job. Regards, Batman
