Does anyone know if this action holds a 30-06 shell?

I just bought three M-24/47 rifles and they are too short....hold the 'X57 rounds nicely but too short for the 30-06 and I don't want more of them!

Yes they are standard length M98. They are the VZ-24 made for Iran & the nicest finished mauser's I have seen!

I had Hart do a 30-06 on one of these for me, made a really nice rifle and the action is smooth. Have fun

I have one like you have pictured and one unissued barreled action. they will make a great custom. Please don't customize a complete rifle if its in unssued condition I would be interested in buying it.

I hope you don't mind Farsi where it normally says VZ-24.
