Tomo577's mannlicher pictures
Here are a couple of pictures of one of Tom's mannlichers and I wasn't sure where to post it but he would like to talk with anyone that has one or has seen one like it. He can can be reached at 814-774-5739 or email him at crownpress@alltel.net
I'm going to post another set of pictures he sent me just to share with you guys as it's just one beautiful rifle. Let me know if I should be posting in a different forum.

Knowing the AR crowd a little bit I would have to admit that there aren't a lot of folks here who like carving on their rifle stocks.

Pretty much a classic type bunch who likes controlled feed rifles like mausers, winchesters, etc.

They favor carving on stocks where my family hails from. Some of the young men favor carving on each other or their women folk around where I live now. I guess moderation is the key in all cases.

I do like that rifle.

Nice rifle thanks for sharring. Carving needs to fit the style of rifle. That carving goes well with that style.

yeah...I believe you are right about that one....However I can not say i will never get to own a rifle with carving, if it´s done nicely
but carving is strickly an Austrian tradition or very "preussisch" way. Generally those rifles I have had in my hands with woodcarving was
truly showpieces...but why not shot/hunt with a showpiece?? Big Grin
Nice rifle there by the way beer
