A lot of you guys probably already know this. I needed a replacement trigger pin for a M98 Mauser action (the one that attaches the trigger to the action), and discovered that a good one can be made from the shank of a #31 number drill. Years ago I bought boxes precision ground steel dowel pins at my local machine shop supply in the sizes that match most pins I encounter on rifles. Just chuck them up and cut them to any length you need. You can even buy them in slightly over and under nominal diameters, and they come in both inch and metric sizes. | |||
