How much does installation of one of these safety/shrouds generally run? Not including the safety itself?

Thanks much.

I have no clue what others charge.....I just installed two Dakotas on vz-24 yesterday and have ordered three more.....this will make nine in total I've installed.

There's three machining alterations that need to be done and an amount of "fiddling".......I wouldn't install one for less than $50......I suspect others charge a lot more!

If you stay away from the Dakota and the Gentry, it takes less time if you go with the Ed Lapour one. And you will have a unit that WORKS!

Jim.....I believe the thread was asking the installation price.....not including the cost of the hardware.

I have no doubt the LaPour is an excellent product.

I purchased and had Gentry's install theirs for under $200. This included the safety itself, installation, and shipping. The installation itself was about $30 or or a bit less. I'll also add that it works fine.

I've installed 2 of the gentry 3 pos. safetys, and had no problems with them at all. Takes about 30-45 min's to do.
