just wanted to relate my recent experience with buying and receiving a pair of actions. Last Oct. i finally got around to working up specs. for a pair of custom rifles and decided on Satterlee, GMA or Hein. I spoke with Stuart and found him helpful and appreciated his time on the phone. He gave me a delivery estimate of app. 2years. At the time i was surprised at time frame but appreciated his honesty.

I tired to connect with Hein as i bought one of their early rifles and other than the delivery time, was happy with the gun. But did not get any response.

Lastly, i contacted John at GMA. some time back, i spoke with his uncle regarding the magnum actions but just felt a little to early in the production process for me then. but certaintly not now. A couple of weeks ago my gunsmith received the pair of actions and was quite pleased with them (these are only the 2nd and third ones he has handled). I asked him to do whatever he needs with them and he replied "nothing for him to do" he meant from the finish, tolerances etc. obviously he will do the feeding.

I was fortunate to view the actions myself at John's shop in Scottdale and you can imagine my feeling when i saw them in person for the first time. He generously showed me around his shop (love the smell of metal and oil).

In summary, my experience with GMA was great and i still plan to get a Satterlee action that fits a longer work schedule.
