swampshooterRepairing Blackburn bottom metal
I sent my broken Rem. 700 Blackburn bottom metal to Stephen R. Heilman, Grass Valley,CA for repair on D'Arcy Echols recommendation. Steve did a beautiful job of re-welding and refinishing my bottom metal, and it was RETURNED IN TWO WEEKS AS PROMISED. I'm going to send him a custom stock very soon which needs some work, as I see he also does wood work. Thank you Steve for a job well done, and thank you D'Arcy for an excellent referral.

Chuck NelsonI've seen Mr. Heilman's welding and metal work up close. Simply amazing.

swampshooterI was amazed, the whole thing, top and bottom looks like it was made in one piece. As good, probably better than new.

Just a wild guess but I suspect swampshooter couldn't travel back in time when Blackburn was still in business.
