Dan, once you determine what height front sight you need, a good gunsmith should be able to file the dovetail to match the one on your rifle without too much trouble.

I have a 1952 mannlicher with a peep sight. I need a higher front sight to make it work. I can't find anything that matches the dovetail. Any ideas on a source?
