Interesting question for a gunsmith!!

I ordered a synthetic stock for a Ruger MKII 30-06 from Brownells. I received a letter today informing me that they were out of stock and the new stocks coming from Ruger would be for the NEW MKII (I suspect the Hawkeye). The question is: Will a "Hawkeye" synthetic fit my 5 year old MKII? I'd certainly appreciate a response from one or more knowledgable gunsmiths. Thanks

I would suspect they would, thought i would contact the source"RUGER" and ask them.It wouldn,t make any sense for them to change the stock to cost them more monies. van
