I talked to the folks at Montana Rifleman about their new action yesterday. They expect to ship the right hand long action in July. I have ordered one with the magnum bolt face.

I have a left hand long action on order as well, and they are saying probably October for those actions.

These two actions will be the two prototypes for the stopping rifle project that John Ricks and I are working. Our target is a rifle that the working PH can afford.

Crikey, you wouldn't think it would take three years to build an action.

I expect they will continue to refer to the design date, but I don't have any insider information.

Usually for small businesses the long pole in the tent on project development is capital. They did say that the size of the first batch of actions is 200.
