Those rings sat on a Weaver style base without the groove cut through it. The rear base came with a small peep site screwed into the back that allowed for windage and elevation.

I have used two sets for mounting scopes on drillings with the old style, flat German Base. Just remove the lever and replace with a hex head screw.

I pick them up whenever I see them. Much better than Weaver rings for quick detach.

I bought a set of those a while ago to fit my Brno .22. At least thats what the guy told me they were for. Now you got me wondering if they even fit.

Just dug the Brno #4 .22 rimfire out of the safe and tried the rings. They fit perfectly. Smiler

I like the old Leupold Detacho have 2 base sets
on 2 rifles and 3 ring sets. Place the Peep on the rear base towards the muzzle. That way the
base has a recoil stop, that is built into the base. Would love to find another set of bases for a Rem 700. Very light and well built.

Brevex magnum Mauser. It stays in the safe. People think it's gaudy and belongs with a pimp, kinda like a 59 Cadillac. Wink
