My redhawk broke

Last night when I was doing some dry firing The hammer link broke part number KH06900. Thats the hooked part on that contects the hammer to the main spring lever.

I now have gun that well not shoot. It would have been very hurt full if I would been trying to use it for defense.

I well be calling ruger for a new one this morning.

Better now then on my week long willderness canoe trip in June.

Anybody else have one break.

Just got off the phone with Ruger Service dept.

Very freindly and they well be shipping parts out today. I ordered 2 plus retaining pins The extra one well be going in my possibles bag. It would be a heck of a thing to have break miles from no where.

Wow I have put many thousand rounds thru my 44 mag Redhawk with out a lick of trouble .
Never hear of them breaking.

I brought mine used I put several thousands of rounds through it. Don't know about the guy before me. The part was only a dollar plus shipping I would be tempted to change it out. every few thousand.
