I thought some of you may be interested in how a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine center, rough's out a rifle stock.

then sand with an orbital sander?

There is no doubt that a cnc can cut a close stock. As accurate as the program inputted. Now ask them to add a little extra wood to the grip. Big Grin

I bought a Boyd stock for a Remington 510, fits like a glove, now debating whether to cut it for a 511 magazine.
