The folks at McMillan Stock Co. told me that the inletting is the same when I asked about the short action M70.

I glassed a new Classic stock into my old push feed Mod 70 with no problems.

Same here, put a Ranger push feed barreled action into a feather weight post/pre64 (new controlled feed) stock.
