Old rimfire question?

I was out with the metal detector and found an old rimfire case about .40-.45 cal. It had two firing pin marks 180 degrees apart. Was there a pistol or rifle that used two firing pins? I've rotated a case before to get it to shoot but these were exactly opposite each other.--JM.

Yes there were rifles at least that used 2 firing pins, actually the one I saw years ago was like a fork. Can't remember it it was an early Volcanic or what though. Hopefully someone else can fill in more.

The Henry and 1866 Winchester fired the 44 Henry cartridge and had twin firing pins 180 deg. apart.
case was 7/8" long and about .445 wide.
