I,ve had some prob. with flyers out of my 338 rum. I found the front of the trigger housing was making contact with the stock enough to make erractic trigger pull so I took some wood out, haven,t got to shoot it yet.Do you think this could have been my problem? thanks Howard

You will need to shoot it again to find out. But it is very possible.

The trigger housing should hang free and clear. Any binding in the stock can affect trigger pull.

G'Day Fella's,

Ho, one of the more useful things I learnt in Science at school was "For Each and Every Action, there is an Equal and Opposite Reaction"!
Given this, that MAY be the cause of your fliers???

Hope that helps

And a varying trigger pull can cause flyers.

Wow, great shooting; problem solved. I had to brake my 338 rum as it damn near broke my shoulder.
