I have a 300 Win Mag that I would like to convert to 6.5 X 284. Can I do it? How would I handle the bolt face difference?

You are probably better off trading that .300 for an action with the correct bolt face, unless it is a Savage. Sean

If it is a Remington 700 all you need is someone to do a Sako extractor conversion along with the re-barrel.

The 300 WM has a .532" rim the 284 case is a std .473". The mag bolt face is too large and it`s likely cheaper to trade the 300 on a rifle or action with the proper bolt.
