Actually, Joe, the Savage has a "floating" bolt head, which often precludes the need for a truing job. Another source for 110/10 barrels is Sharp Shooter Supply. They also offer bolt heads in different diameters if you want to change from standard to mag, etc. I know guys that just use a case as a chamber gauge, screw the pipe on and go. Seems to work well. Dutch, Thank you for the reply and supply information. I am looking forward to this project, I really want to learn. Now, I just have to decide which of many available calibers I want to build. I already have 17 Rem Kinda interested in predator hunting, something in a smaller caliber, but not something that everybody and their brother is using. I dont know if they could cut the chamber (the suppliers) but if they could, maybe a 20 Tactical? ------------------ | ||
