Trying to find a "Breech Bolt Sleeve Lock" for a pre 64 model 70. Helping out a PH in Namibia on a few parts. This is the only thing I can't seem to find yet. Tried all the usual suspects but no luck. HELP

Post 64 used the same lock until 1994; also check the 03 Springfield; they are close if not the same. I just measured both and they are indeed the same within .001, but I did not remove them. Worth a few dollars to get one and see; they are easy to get.

Thanks to everyone that responded, I appreciate your help.

Wiener doesn't have it anymore. I have ordered the 03 version. I'll send him a post 64 if I can find the correct vintage. Hopefully the PH will get one that fits.

I have substituted one for the other, just need to cut the slot for the retaining pin.

Jim did you mean you subbed the 1903 version or the post 64?

Thanks for the reply.

A sleeve lock from a Marlin MR7, is about .015" longer in the nose. Which is easy to fit. everything else the same as the M70.

If I remember, I think I used the 1903 and put it into a pre-64, I think. I know I did some swap around.
