Affordable replacement stock for Rem. 870

I want to ask the panel here a question. A friend of mine is a local constable and we work closely on many cases. He has a Rem. 870 with a folding stock that he hates, (the stock, not the gun) and is looking for a wood replacement for it. The constable's wages are extremely low so I was looking for a reasonable low cost replacement stock for him. I checked Numerich Arms and saw a black coated stock, not exactly what he wants. Any suggestions?

Good luck and good shooting,

Eterry

Try Chris Hyde at Vintage Sporting (256) 534-9292.

Chris is a great guy and has tons of stocks, barrels, old scopes,etc...at great prices.

Did you talk to anyone at Numrich or just look on their web site? They have tons of stuff that isn’t in their ads or on their web site.

I thought I had a hardwood (non-walnut) one I would give you, but I can't seem to lay my hands on it. Confused If I find it I'll let you know.

Second suggestion would be the Tulsa Gun show.

there are a total of 110items on ebay if you search for Remington 870 and restrict your search to GunParts/Shotgun/Stocks

From Factory "Express" stocks to "tactical style" NON-folding pistol grip stocks,

How about a butstock and forearm set for $15 plus shipping?

If I were looking for a "beater stock" for an 870 ebay is the first place I'd look.

Thanks guys;
Alan, I must have had a brain-freeze to have forgotten about EBAY.
McCray, thanks for the offer. After a Very Bad Situation at work this evening when the Constable came to my assist I am prepared to buy him a stock of platinum, LOL.
Rick, never thought of calling Numrich Arms, always just ordered from their catalog.

Good luck and good shooting,

Eterry
