The best way to improve the trigger on a Ruger is to trade it for a M-70. ![]() sorry.....I just had to do that. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Which version of the Ruger Model 77 is it -- the older one with the tang safety, or the new Mark II? If it is the older one with the tang safety, then see the other thread here about smoothing out the trigger on a Ruger 77 -- one of the posts in that thread has a link to a website that presents instructions on how to improve the Ruger trigger. If it's the newer Ruger 77 Mark II, then I think you need to replace the factory trigger with a Rifle Basix one. Midway was selling those for a discount price recently -- I don't know what one will cost now. This trigger is very easy to install, and after that it is easy to adjust.
