| I have two of these Rifles, one with a Walnut Stock and one with a Laminate Stock. I just rebarreled the laminate one with a Douglus Barrel and chambered it in .300 SAUM which is a more efficient cartrige than the .300 WSM I have shot it once and am quite happy with the results. My Rifles have the Claw Extractor. I had to Bed the Actions to improve accuracy.

I think we are talking about different actions. |

| Yes, the actions are differant. CF vs PF. However Remington actions are push feed. If you can buy the Rifle for a good price it is still a good canidate to re-barrel to .300 saum if it does not shoot to you expectations as is.

| Actually, I'm planning to eventually rebarrel it to 338WM; I already have a very nice Tikka 300WM that covers all my .30 caliber needs. |

| wildboar, the answer is an equivical, YES! Except for the difference (PF vs. CRF), they are virtually the same action. I rebarreled a PF to .404 Jeffrey and Dennis Olson converted it to CRF, beutifully, I might add. Except for the bolt shroud, it looks just like a Classic.
