Thinking about a cheap, temporary synthetic stock just to get my project off the ground?? Can a factory Winchester tupperware stock be easily modified to work with an MRC short mag action??

Damned if I know, but I do know I don't much care for this new layout.

I have one of those stocks that came last year will my new M70 SS Classic. I would only bother with it if I already had one and nothing else.

That stock has the kind of plastic that's very hard to get stuff to stick to if you need to add bedding, the recoil "pad" is like a ball peen hammer and mine has a memory to warp to the right. In summary it's real junk.

The Win factory tupperware is really bad. If your barrel contour is slim enough you might make it work. The MRC front receiver ring is longer and will intrude into the shank area of the factory stock. The floor plate inletting will have to be deepened to take the MRC's thicker bottom metal. On top of this the tupperware does not take bedding very well. Scrap this idea and put in some O.T., maybe hawk something....rifle projects are important!

I'm going with a Bansner's High Tech stock ($210)on my Win70, 350RM project. Its light enough so the overall weight of the completed project (w/scope, mounts) won't exceed 8lbs. Its a well proven stock too.
